Keep & Clear is an iPhone app for working through a large photo library one item at a time. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is deleted without you, and nothing is in a hurry.
One decision at a time
Review a single photo or video, then swipe. The app remembers where you stopped, so a library of ten thousand items becomes something you can put down and pick up again.
- Keep Stays exactly where it is. Swipe right.
- To delete Marked only. Nothing goes until you confirm the batch. Swipe left.
- Never delete Protected, and never offered to you again. Swipe up.
- Not sure Set aside for later, without losing your place. Swipe down.
Ten frames of the same thing, one decision
Keep & Clear groups look-alike shots so a burst of near-identical frames becomes a single choice rather than ten. Look-alike detection uses Apple’s Vision framework and runs entirely on the device.
See where the storage actually goes
Photos against videos, by category, by year, and how much of the library lives only in iCloud rather than on the phone. Measured sizes, not estimates designed to alarm you.
Nothing is deleted behind your back
Marking something only records a decision. When you confirm, the app hands the list to Apple Photos, which shows its own prompt and moves the items to Recently Deleted, where they stay for 30 days.
Private because there is nowhere to send anything
- No account and no sign-in.
- No server, no analytics, no tracking, no ads.
- Photos are read on the device to display, measure and compare them. Nothing is uploaded or copied off the phone.
- Stored locally: your decisions, measured sizes, on-device image descriptions, settings, and usage counts that are never transmitted.
